On 29.05.2017 in the village of Harsovo, Razgrad region, an open field day was held, where we presented a wide range of cereals of the Austrian brand SAATBAU LINZ, as well as hybrids and linear varieties of rapeseed from our catalog.
In May, LEADER CONSULTING held a series of seminars and open days to present the portfolio of cereals, rapeseed and catch crops of the Austrian seed company SAATBAU LINZ, whose main representative for Bulgaria is Leader Consulting. The company imports seeds directly from Austria, with original seed control documents.
Recently, there has been a growing interest on the part of farmers in catch crops or so-called cover crops and Leader Consulting has been working hard in this direction since 2014 with product and technological know-how. Crops such as fodder turnip, ameliorative fodder turnip, white mustard, phacelia, buckwheat and a number of legumes are increasingly entering farmers' farms to improve soil fertility and structure. Professional mixtures of such crops are also becoming increasingly popular, ensuring a diversity below and above ground and thereby creating a complete ecosystem to fully support the soil and crop species in the rotation. SAATBAU LINZ's 6-component mixture OEPULPLUS has become the best known, containing forage turnip, mustard, phacelia, buckwheat, Alexandrian clover and mungbean, and is an excellent precursor for rotation compaction before maize. Leader Consulting has described all the products as well as basic technical advice in its "Mezdhu drugoto" brochure.
On 29.05.2017 the day started with great interest with a seminar on catch crops in restaurant Tramonto in the town of Isperih and moved at 12 o'clock to the fields of the company AGROTIDA OOD in the village of Harsovo, Razgrad area. The well-known farmer Angel Vassilev as always showed immaculate fields of rapeseed and wheat. Gorgeous plants despite the drought in this particular area, thanks to the good selection brought by Leader Consulting EOOD and the efforts and skills of the farmers from Agrotida.
Mrs. Evelina Marinova presented the new highlights in rapeseed breeding and elaborated on the peculiarities and subtleties of elite wheat production, for which Austrian breeding is famous.
In rapeseed, the hybrid GRAF remains stable in the portfolio, together with the linear variety FREDDY, but the new hit will be the hybrid variety PRESIDENT, which gives expectations for new yield levels, together with HIBRISON and CLARUS.
In wheat, ALBERTUS and ANTONIOUS are the premium varieties with high protein content, URBANUS is the established high yielding bread wheat and the new offering with expected high performance coupled with high yield and early maturity is called ACTIVUS.
The presentation ended with a rich folklore programme of singers and dancers from Razgrad, who brought a lot of colour and cheer to the picturesque green fields.
At the end of the day, the team of Leader Consulting was joined by representatives of SAATBAU LINZ from the sales and product department of the Austrian company, who were impressed by the level of farming they saw in the land of Agrotida and thanked for the excellent work.
